1+1=3
The impact of positive synergy
Bring the fruits of positive synergy to bear in your own life.
“Individuals score points, but teams win games.” — Zig Ziglar
Positive synergy is defined as the interaction of multiple
elements in a system to produce an effect different from or
greater than the sum of their individual effects.
This is when 1+1=3, when the power of a cohesive
group is more than the sum of its individual parts and has
the ability to outclass even the best individual performance.
While a single man operating alone is limited in what he is able to achieve, by working together we have journeyed to the moon and built an international space station. These spectacular achievements are nothing more or less than the results of positive synergy created by people coming together for a single-minded purpose. The Institute 4 Success plays a leading role in the development of positive synergies and so has adopted 1+1=3 as our logo. As a doctor in business I promote continuous learning as it helps clients to establish and maintain a competitive edge. The rate of change and business transformation is increasing rapidly and it is a survival imperative that we at least attempt to keep up with the rate of transformation. To elevate your game and develop your own competitive edge, consider getting a business coach who believes in a synergistic approach and make the power of 1+1=3 work for you.
Dr Eric R Braverman is the author of The Edge Effect: Achieve Total Health and Longevity with the Balanced Brain Advantage in which he explains the biochemi-cal working of the brain and how to use it to best effect. According to Dr Braverman, increasing your dopamine levels will make you a little more forceful, increasing acetylcholine will improve thought fulness and output while increasing your intake of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) will tone down your anxieties while serotonin will make you more social. The book also has exercises and a step-by-step guide to help you achieve the ‘edge effect’.
Natural positive synergy occurs when an individual works and earns his living in a field they love and that they are passionate about. I don’t go to work, I go to play. How about you?
